Change of licence

Sharp eyed readers may have noticed a subtle change to the Creative Commons licence notice in the side bar. The logic is quite simple. I do not, at the moment, intend to directly make revenue from this blog. I do intend to use it to spread my ideas and to enhance my reputation. So I should encourage people to reproduce my material, as long as they attribute it.
I have not quite decided what to do with Money Terms. I do not think that a Creative Commons license would be appropriate for a number of reasons. On the other hand I do want people to quote from it, as long as they link back.

I am not quite happy with devising a open licence of any sort of my own. There is too much room for mistakes and loopholes. So, my solution, for the moment, is going to be to make it clear I will be liberal about reuse, but require permission (and attribution!) for each instance.

This will also have the advantages of allowing me to track reuse, and leaving me able to take action against abusive reuse such as scraper sites.

If you have any better ideas, please let me know.
